Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas – Telouat Kasbah – Ait Ben Haddou – Unila Valley – Ouarzazate:

Departure from Marrakech at 8.30 am in a private 4×4 vehicle and drive to Ouarzazate through the High Atlas Mountains. On our way, we will pass through the Tizi Ntichka pass by a height of 2.260m. It is the highest point in our country that a car can reach. Along the way, we will enjoy the beautiful scenery from observation decks and make several stops to take pictures of Berber villages. We will then turn off onto a small road leading to the Teluat Kasbah. After visiting the kasbah you will have free time to enjoy a typical meal in town. Then, we will continue through the valley of Ulina, where you will see small Berber villages and families living in adobe houses lost in the mountains to reach the ksar (fortified village) of Ait Ben Haddou, where we will visit the famous kasbah (declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1986). Famous films like Gladiator, Obelix, The Mummy, The Pearl of the Nile, The Sahara with Penelope Cruz, etc…, have been filmed in this spectacular scene. After a visit to the kasbah, we will head to Ouarzazate, also known as the ‘Gate of the Desert.’ Dinner will be at the hotel/Riad, where we will spend the night.

Day 2: Ouarzazate – Draa valley – Merzouga desert:

After breakfast, we will head to the Draa Valley, where you can see one of the longest rivers in Morocco. Along the way, we will make several stops to take photos and enjoy the view of the impressive kasbahs and Berber villages that dot the road, as well as the beauty of the Draa Valley. You’ll have free time for lunch in Nkob or Alnif. Then, after a two-hour drive, we’ll reach Merzouga dunes. “A desert of dunes.” Then, we will travel by camel to head into the heart of the desert. When we reach the camp, we’ll be accommodated in luxury tents, have Dinner, and overnight under the beautiful starry sky.

Day 3: Merzouga desert – nomadic families – Khamlia village – Erg Chebbi:

You should get up early to contemplate the most spectacular sunrise you have ever seen, on top of a dune near the camp, and enjoy this landscape. After sunrise, you will get breakfast before returning to Merzouga on camels. Then, we will cross Erg Chebbi, an extension of the sandy desert where Morocco’s Great Dune is over 250 meters high. Then, we will continue along the road, where we can see nomadic settlements and learn their secrets and manners. Our next stop will be at an observation point to contemplate the Erg Chebbi hole. Then we will reach the village of Kamilia, originally from Mali, where we will have a relaxing tea and listen to a concert of Gnawa spiritual music. Transfer to the hotel and have a free afternoon to enjoy the town or the dunes next to the hotel to admire the sunset. Dinner and overnight will be at the hotel.

          Day 4: Merzouga desert – Rissani Market – Erfoud fossils – Todra gorges – Dades Valley:

After breakfast, we will leave the desert and go to Rissani, where we will visit the market (traditional market days: Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday), then we will continue to Erfoud, where we will explore the production of fossilized marble, before starting our journey to the palm groves of Tourug and Tinjdade. In one hour, we will reach one of the best spots in the High Atlas, the Todra Gorge. The river current has carved a canyon with sheer cliffs, and it is because of its beauty and high rocky sides that it is very popular with climbers. We will have time for lunch in this gorgeous place. A short walk through the gorges is highly desirable to enjoy the beauty of the landscape. In the afternoon, we will continue to Dades Valley, also known as fig valley, passing through Bumaln Dades. We will stop at the “monkey’s feet.” Dinner and overnight will be in the Gorges of Dades.

          Day 5: Dades Gorges – Valley of the Roses – Skoura palm groves – High Atlas – Marrakech:

After breakfast, we will enjoy one of the best views of the Dades Valley from a strategic observation point in the mountains, where we can appreciate a large number of kasbahs and the picturesque features of each of them. We will then continue along a road dotted with various kasbahs of tourist interest. After a few stops to enjoy the “road of a thousand kasbahs,” the valley of roses, and the large palm grove of Skoura, we will reach Ouarzazate to visit the kasbah of Taurirt, the old residence of Glaoui or the Marrakech Pasha, free time for lunch in the city. In the afternoon, we start our return journey to Marrakech, passing through the mountain port of Tizi N’Tichka with several stops for photography. Here we will leave the lunar landscape to enjoy another view full of color. We will arrive in Marrakech around 6 p.m., transfer to the hotel, and terminate our 5-day tour from Marrakech.
