Start your day early in Marrakesh and head towards Essaouira, which is about 3 hours away by car. As you make your way to Essaouira, enjoy the scenic drive through the countryside and marvel at the changing landscapes. Essaouira is a charming coastal town known for its beautiful beaches, historic medina, and artistic atmosphere.
We will start our day early to make the most of the time in Essaouira. The journey from Marrakech to Essaouira takes about 2.5 to 3 hours by car. On the way, we will see the Argan trees.
Once we arrive in Essaouira, we will explore the famous ramparts in the city, which offer stunning views of the ocean and the Medina.
We will head to the historic Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Stroll through the narrow, winding streets, and admire the whitewashed buildings with blue accents, characteristic of Essaouira’s architecture.
Then, we will visit Skala de la Ville, an 18th-century fortification with canons and sea-facing terraces. It’s an excellent spot to take photos and enjoy the sea breeze.
For lunch, Essaouira is renowned for its fresh seafood. You will enjoy a delicious seafood lunch at one of the many local restaurants near the harbor. After lunch, we will head to Essaouira’s beautiful beach. Relax on the sandy shores, soak up the sun, or take a refreshing swim in the Atlantic Ocean. There are also several activities that you can do, such as horse riding, camel riding, and Quads (ATV). In the afternoon, we will end the day trip heading back to Marrakech, with a transfer to your accommodation.
