Your adventure will begin in Casablanca, where you’ll visit the majestic Hassan II Mosque before heading to Rabat, Morocco’s capital city. From there, you will continue to Fez, where you’ll visit the famous Royal Palace and discover the rich culture and history of this imperial city. Then, toward the Sahara desert, where you can ride a camel, witness the sunset and sunrise over the sand dunes, and spend an unforgettable night in a luxury camp. Next, you will venture into the stunning Todgha Gorges, where you will witness breathtaking views and experience local Berber hospitality. Then, we go to explore the attractive city of Marrakesh, before going back to Casablanca.

8 DAYS DESERT TOUR FROM CASABLANCA

Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat – Meknes – Fes:

We will welcome you to the international airport of Casablanca or your accommodation. Then, we will go to Rabat to visit the Kasbah of Oudaya, the Chellah Kasbah, and the Hassan Tower. It is an incomplete mosque intended to be the largest minaret in the world. We will head on the road to Meknes. We will explore the great gate of Bab Mansour, and the Roman site of Volubilis, the well-preserved Roman empire dating back to 225 BC, where you will see the most beautiful mosaics of Morocco dating back to the 3rd century. From there, we will go to Fez, where we will spend the night in a riad.

Day 2: Visit Fes with a local guide

After breakfast, you will begin exploring Fez, the “spiritual city of Morocco.” You will spend the entire morning exploring the old Medina, visiting most of the sites of cultural and historical interest – including the famous Al Karaouine Mosque and University (the oldest in the world), the Tanneries, and the Najjarine Fountain. After lunch, we will leave Medina to see the gate of the Royal Palace, walk through the Jewish quarter “le Mellah,” and visit the pottery cooperative. Then, we will go to one of the fortresses to enjoy a panoramic view of the whole Medina of Fez. The night will be in the same Riad.

Day 3: Fes – Ifrane – Merzouga:

After breakfast, we will start traveling south towards the desert of Merzouga via Midelt and Errachidia. Your first stop will be the city of Ifrane, nicknamed “the Switzerland of Morocco,” then Merzouga via Midlet and the Ziz Valley. During this trip, you will get a glimpse of the Middle and High Atlas Mountains. You will stop in the famous cedar forest ( the largest in Morocco ), where you will have the chance to see the Barbarian monkeys. Along the way, you will notice that the landscape changes to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the town of Er Rachidia. After lunch in Midelt, the journey continues along the spectacular Ziz Valley, stopping for panoramic views along the way. We will pass through Berber villages to Erfoud and then to Merzouga. In the afternoon, you will ride a camel to watch the sunset in the middle of the highest dunes in Morocco and spend the night there. Overnight at the desert camp, where you will dine and sleep in a luxury tent (the best chance to see the moon and stars shine), with traditional Berber music played by the locals.

DAY 4: Exploring Merzouga Desert:

We will wake up early to have the opportunity to see the sunrise and enjoy the landscape. After a hearty breakfast, we will ride our camels back to Merzouga, where our driver is waiting for us. Then, we will continue along the road, where we can see nomadic settlements and learn their secrets and manners. Our next stop will be at an observation point to contemplate the Erg Chebbi hole. There, we can also see the limits between Morocco and Algeria. We will then make our way to the village of Kamilia, originally from Mali, where we will have a relaxing tea and listen to a concert of Gnawa spiritual music. Transfer to the hotel and have a free afternoon to enjoy the town or the dunes next to the hotel to admire the sunset. Dinner and overnight will be at the hotel. 

DAY 5: SAHARA DESERT – TODRA GORGE – DADES VALLEY :

After breakfast, we will leave Merzouga Desert, and stop in Rissani, where we will visit the day market(Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday). Then, we will head to Erfoud, known for its fossil mining. We leave for the next destination, Tinghir and Todra Gorges, “the highest and narrowest gorges in Morocco.” You will have the opportunity to hike along its valley. We will cross the Dades Valley, where you will see the majestic sand castles and the beautiful rock formations known as “monkey fingers.” The night will be in a riad or a hotel in the heart of the gorge.

DAY 6: DADES VALLEY – KASBAH OF AIT BEN HADDOU – MARRAKECH :

After breakfast, we will cross the Dades Valley, on the way to Kalaat Mgouna and Ouarzazate. The road through the Dades Valley is called the path of a thousand Kasbahs – offering many opportunities to take some of the best photos of the trip. We will stop at Kalaat Mgouna, “the city of roses,” to buy rose water, which will give your laundry a pleasant smell for a long time, and then we will continue to Ouarzazate, “the Hollywood of Africa.” Lunch at the famous kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, the largest kasbah in Morocco. It is recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage. It is known for having served as a setting for many films such as “Lawrence of Arabia” and “Gladiator,” Our journey will continue through the majestic Tizi ‘n’ Tichka pass (2260 m) through the High Atlas Mountains, where you can stop to discover the process of making argan oil in the women’s cooperatives before arriving in Marrakech.

Day 7: Exploring Marrakech:

On the morning of the next day, with a local guide, you will visit the Menara Garden, a pool surrounded by flowerbeds that function as an irrigation system for the surrounding fields. The sightseeing tour will cover some spectacular sights: the Koutoubia Mosque, the Majorelle Gardens, the Bahia Palace, and the Dar Si Said Jewellery Palace Museum. Upon request, lunch will be in the medina followed by a stroll through the colorful bazaars of Marrakech. Overnight in the same Riad.

Day 8: Marrakech – Casablanca:

After the breakfast, we will start our last day leaving Marrakesh. We will head the road toward Casablanca. There, we will explore some sites in the city, such as the largest mosque of Hassan II, which is unmissable. It is the largest mosque in Morocco, with the world’s tallest minaret at 210 meters. It is also the only mosque in Morocco that allows non-Muslims to visit., the United Nations square, and the coastal “Corniche.” We will terminate our 8-day Morocco tour from Casablanca with your transfer to your Hotel.

Our itinerary with Morocco Itineraries, was 8 Days tour. We were met at Casablanca airport by Hassan, our driver for the whole journey. We went to Rabat , Chefchaouen, Fes, Merzouga, desert, Todra Goges, Dades, many many interesting places on the way like Hollywood of Morocco & ended in Marrakech.
